Salary:£24,294 - £25,979 Band 4 plus Market Force Allowance of £5,000 per annum payable in addition to the basic salary.

Enhancement paid between the hours of 8.00pm - 6.00am and weekendsof£2491-£2664per annum, depending on hours worked. There is also anadditionalpayment of£40.76for each sleep-in shiftcompleted. These payments areadditionalto the basic salary.

The Band 4 Residential Support Worker is an entry level post therefore, we encourage applications from people with experience in a similar discipline, but this is not essential as we appreciate that there are adults that hold transferrable skills and values that meet the requirements of a suitable candidate but have never had the privilege of working directly with children and young people.

We offer a comprehensive induction and shadowing process for allnew staff, excellent training and there are lots of opportunities for personal development and career progression withinKyloeHouse.

Staff are supported by the offer of regular one-to-one sessions to discuss and reflect on your work. Staff also have free access to the onsite gymas well as meal provided whilst at work.

The role

The young people at the Secure home range between 10 to 17-year-olds and come from across the country are likely to have experienced significant trauma, so working in thehomecan be tough. They are vulnerable and often arrive with a history of difficult and challenging behaviour. Your personal qualities and life experience will help us create an environment of reflection, personalattentionand specialist help. Your talents will help young people developthe values, skills, knowledge,self-controland direction that will enable them to return to the community in a more positive and purposeful way.

You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training up to Level3/4Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Useful information

Please note, if you require sponsorship to work in the UK, the position of Residential Support Worker does not meet theHomeOffice criteria for UK Visa Sponsorship.

You will work an average of 37 hours per week, following a designated shift pattern of early and late shifts between 7.45am – 10.30pm and sleep ins, with alternate weekends and some bank holidays.
